Kind Name

Some assets may have editable characters. If you set the asset to the surveyor’s name via the Edit Properties icon (the “?” icon), the signage can be set to update automatically. These variables can be set for each sign.

You don’t have to use 0,1,2 … block naming.

For the effect names described in the example, it could easily be 0 mainsign or something more relevant to your model.

Setting unique names can be useful for script purposes, so you can easily recognize a script link, for example.

All these fonts have a base size of 24 points. This size can be changed using the tag font size (by multiplying by the default font size) in the Config.txt file.

Font size as a fraction of the original default font size, eg. 0.15 is 15% of the default size of 24 points.

Where there is another larger Default font size that was used in the TC that is available for use. Referred to in the in-game name, mainmenu_titles, the usual font style was Arial before. Using this style is a larger font (80 points) and determining the font size factor, better quality can be obtained behind the title text on the created asset.

Points are placed in top view in 3dsmax. When leveling a point in 3dsmax, click the Hierarchy – Affect Pivot Only option to review the axis direction, turn off the Affect Pivot Only selection, and rotate the point to the correct orientation. Click the Affect Pivot Only option to select the option again to check the new alignment. Make sure to rotate the point, not the axes.

name
Default text if placed

If a name name is specified, it uses the reverse variable name option, change via Edit Properties/( “?” Icon) in Surveyor.

 

If the name “Prague” (for example) were used, the designation would never be able to be changed, even though the user may have retroactively changed the name of the Surveyor.

When using a name tag, that name will appear on the minimap. In some cases, names will be difficult to distinguish in a crowded map. For this reason, it may be appropriate to limit the use of labels to objects that have a use for the attribute.
